Hello everyone! Another week complete in the office. It's hard to believe that it's already been a transfer in the office and that I've had my current companion Elder Farnsworth for a transfer as well.
So this week started off pretty stressful for me. I spent all Sunday evening trying to figure out travel plans for the meeting that was happening on Tuesday. Tuesday was the Mid/New Trainers meeting. That is where all of the current trainers and their companions come to the mission office for a meeting half-way through their training period (hence why it is called Mid Trainers). Right after that was the New Trainers meeting. That is where all the missionaries who got the call to be trainers for the upcoming arrival of new missionaries go. Each meeting is around 1h 30mins-ish. Now we are going to rewind to the following day on Monday. MONDAY WAS A NIGHTMARE! It took me almost the whole day to get everyone's travel booked. To make matters worse there were some teams --who needed to stay the night somewhere else-- that missed some of their trains to get up here (some missionaries ended up staying in other missionaries area because they are closer to the mission home). One of the companionships was able to take a different train while using the same ticket to get them to the area they needed to stay the night at, but the other team wouldn't make it. I asked the assistants about it and they told me to book them in the morning (they would have to leave to get a train at 5:30). Of course, there was another problem that happened though. The tickets to get them to the station close to the mission home and then back to their area after the meeting was over £220! That is waaaaaaay too much money to spend on a 3h train ride. So I texted president with a picture of the price and asked him if I should proceed with purchasing the tickets or to have them Skype into the meeting. The decision was made to Skype them in and I got to use my tech skills to get that up and running. After all those problems were dealt with, we had to set up for the meetings. THAT, was the easy part, thankfully! Once that was done, it was a good nights rest for tomorrow with most of the stress gone.
On Thursday, I ended up getting a call from someone random who I didn't know. He wasn't a member of the church, although he was a Christian. He called me because he found a pass-along card with my name on it. We had a really good conversation. He asked me if I wanted the card back, I said no, and that he could keep it. In fact, I told him that he should go to the website and read a little bit of it. I told him a little bit about the Book of Mormon and that he could request a free copy by going to the website... comeuntochrist.org I am quite happy and pleased that I had that experience! I hope he looks into it more.
Friday was a blur. Heck, I don't even remember much about it, but I did watch the new Book of Mormon video! For those of you who have not watched it, I highly recommended it. Especially for those who have trouble understanding the events in the Book of Mormon. This will help those to understand it more by adding a visual to it. I find that I always learn things and understand things better when using visuals, so it helps me too!

The Book of Mormon.... It is such a wonderful book filled with so many inspired words from prophets all throughout ancient times. It's amazing how its words and messages are things that we can learn from and applyt to our situations today. I know and testify that the Book of Mormon is God's word given to the prophets living in the ancient Americas and I know that its word will help change us for the better as we read then with an open heart, so the Spirit can move upon us. I am so grateful for the sacrifices that have been made in ancient times and in the time of the prophet Joseph Smith to be able to bring it to light. I know that it came forth through the power of God and that it can give us power and strength as we really spend the time to learn from it and get familiar with the teaachings therein. We have been promised by every prophet since the Book of Mormon came forth, that it will bless us as we read and study it. I also want to add my witness of Book of Mormon to theirs. I know that it can bless you. I know that it will bless you. All you need to do is read and study its teaching and apply them to your life according to what the Spirit tells you. You will see great blessings as you do so.
Cheers,
Elder Jakob

The upstairs lounge. Pretty relaxing place. I study here often.
