Hiya everyone!
It has been a while. Let me just apologise now for not writing the past two weeks. It been a little bit busy but also mixed with laziness and not wanting to write home! But I know that you all enjoy reading about my experiences as it almost puts you in my shoes!
Another reason I don't like writing home a lot would probably be because everything here that happens, tends to be a little repetitive. Frankly, I don't know what to really write as it seems like I will be saying the same things over and over again. But now that I'm done explaining my situation, let's start.
Two weeks ago was zone conference. What a great time! We talked a lot and were trained a lot about the important of "how to begin teaching" which is essential in our first encounter with a person that we meet so we can find their needs and address them through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It was a wonderful zone conference and we role played a lot. I also made a video for zone conference that shows all of the current apostles bearing their testimonies for the first time as apostles and prophets. It was meat to demonstrate how a testimony can be pure, powerful and simple, all at once. As you may know by now, there are two zone conferences one for the north and the south. During the north conference, the audio wouldn't play for the video which was a bummer but there was nothing that I could do. At the end of the conference I was testing it out and nothing I did worked until I restarted the computer. So there was probably no way I could have fixed it mid conference unless I restarted the computers, which wasn't going to happen.
The second week was a really crazy one and is part of the reason I've been so busy. So there is a senior couple who work in the office (I love them to bits, they're so awesome!) And one of them had a stroke.... so we had to look after him and take over some of his work. This has keep us very busy the past serval days. He is fine and everything is all good, but the chances of him having another one are pretty high so I don't think they will be staying. On another note, we were able to go out and invite! We found a friend and his name is Nicolas. He is awesome. We went out inviting as an office, so the assistants were also there. Apparently, they stopped him and were going to talk to him, but he pulled out a Book of Mormon that I had given him and he said, "Sorry lads, [Elder] Jakob already beat you to it!" I couldn't help but laugh after that!
This past week has been pretty interesting and even to say that is an understatement in itself. A missionary went home for mental health reasons and stayed with us in the office for a few days. I can honestly tell you that it was a very humbling experience and I have never felt so much Christ-like love for someone as I did for them. I hope that everything will get better for them.
We were also able to go on exchanges this past Thursday in a town called Tamworth! What fun! We invited for a solid 4 hours and then helped out at a poppy stand and ran into someone who was being taught in Wolverhampton that I heard about. As soon as he explained his situation, I knew exactly who it was. Haha! But yeah, that exchange was pretty fun and we had some funny encounters. One of them was, I stopped a girl and started talking to her but she look at me all disgusted and walk away. I couldn't help but laugh! Another one told us, "I can't talk, I just got my eyebrows done." Yup! I lost it and couldn't stop laughing after that one!
Transfers are coming up next week and there is still a lot of work left to do. Can't wait to see what the future holds. I know that I am staying here with my companion for another transfer, so nothing really new there.
I know that God is our Heavenly Father and that He loves all of us so much that we can't even begin to comprehend. I know that this is the only true and living church that was established by Jesus Christ Himself and that He is the chief corner stone of it. I know that Jesus Christ died for us and rose the third day and because of that, we too will be resurrected again and we can be exalted with our families because of His gift. Most importantly, I know that He lives and that He is my Saviour and Redeemer and through Him and in Him, we can all find peace and rest because of His infinite and eternal sacrifice for us all. There is no where I would rather be right now, and I feel as if I have found true happiness as I set aside all personal affairs and do my work which is to keep God's commandments with all my might mind and strength. I know that as we all do this we will see blessings and can become stronger, more influential instruments in the Lord's hands to further His work in helping to bring eternal life to the souls of all mankind.

This is an authenic WWII escape compass. It is really small.
